Advice wanted for chest display to BM chest armor

Hello,

I'm about to order painted chest armor from BM, but I'm at a loss of what to do with the chest light. BM said that I could just tell him if I had the chest display of TK409 or Shackman, and he would get me the right fitting chest pieces for it.

Now, the problem is that it seems TK409 has stopped making these, and Shackman I haven't heard from in months. I would have opted for a Schackman's display if I could but they also seem to be unavailable at the moment (If anyone has got any spare of these, please PM me).

Also, there's a new chest display from Fettronics available now but BM hadn't seen these so he didn't know how they fit his chest pieces. Does anybody know?

Any advice on this?

I have a Fettronics Deluxe and it's great. But I also have a Fettpride chest piece and cut the opening myself, so I don't know how to compare. I think if you get the Fetttronics Deluxe display (the slightly more expensive and more accurate one) and either send the dimensions or a template to Daz or ask him to send you an uncut chest piece you should be okay. You can always cut the opening yourself with a Dremel and jewelers files...

Just rememerb to err on the side of caution -- that is, you're better off making the opening slightly smaller than it should be and then using a file to open it up a little larger than vice versa.

Thank you for the answer - it's just that since I'm having it pre-painted I'd be gutted if I got the wrong size and had to dremel into that beauty

hey, i am getting BM armor as well, and told him to cut the tk409 holes...if you look on tk's website, i dont think that he sells them...he gives tutorials on how to make them...i think...second reference that on his website, but i am pretty sure he doesnt actually make them, just goes thru step for step on how to make one...hope that helps on the tk side...(y)

Yeah I think that's the way to go now, so I have ordered a Deluxe from Fettronics. I'll ship it over to BM so he can have a look at it and hopefully this'll help out others here as well :cheers
