Accurate Resin Gauntlet Missile Limited Run!

Fettism-
I think you need to PM one of the guys who started this thread, like it says to;) ... and I think you'll get taken care of

someone ?!? Only one of the best mold makers I have ever met. Don't take for granted the fact that once you get this, there is pretty much NO clean up on this.

Contacted Mr Boba Phett ........... it's on its way . Thanks for the advice !! I have 2 rockets ( sets of gauntlets ) but they dont look nearly as good as Phetts . Also just got my Ruffkins gaunt kit yesterday .Between finishing my Fett and making Vader belts and now trying to figure out how to assemble & paint this kit .....I guess I'll be a busy guy .

Just want to say I'm glad you guys are happy with them. As far as availability, these were the second batch made. The guy who cast these for Phett and I decided to use up the mold before it started to deterorate. These are the last of the bunch, we were fortunate to fill everyone's needs the first time around and had these for a long time before we offered them a second time when we saw an interest. What Phett has posted is what we have left, but if you need time to gather funds, as long as we have a few left, they will be avaiable. But as soon as these are gone, they won't be offered again, at least for a long time until we see that there is enough of an interest. Considering that the last time these were up was over a year ago, I don't see this happing again in the near future :D So get'em while they last........

Just got my missle . BP ..... VERY nice job .I have 2 other resin missles and they dont compare .As said previously , looks like very little clean up . Nice sharp details . I love the detatchable cone. This should make the painting sooooooooooooo much easier . Now ........... having said that . Anyone got the step by step on painting and weathering this jewel ? What paints ( brands ) ... what primer ? Do I sand ? etc , etc . I sure want to do this right . It looks so good I dont want to screw it up .

I got mine in as well this week, all I can do is drop my jaw. This thing is incredible and I am still trying to convince myself that it is resin

Awesome job on this guys :cheers

Thanks Again

Dave

Hey guys , now that a number of us have these great missles . Does anyone have any suggestions on how to prep , prime and paint these things . i haven't painted anything yet and I dont want to screw it up .

Mike

What I would do is:

1) wash the whole thing with dish soap and water
2) let dry(duh!)
3) lightly sand with 600 grit paper
4) rinse with water and dry again
5) prime
6) base coat of silver(or no base coat if you are a Jango sucka)
7) mask(both liquid and tape) and paint the rest
8) install and enjoy

I got one! (y)

Man this missle is nice! The details are VERY crisp! (y)

There is a little cleanup required on mine, but nothing major.

I was told there may be a very few left. If you need one, check in before they are gone!
