accurate pack size

ok......i was recently at the midohiocomiccon in ohiuo and i get SEVERAL comments on my backpack being the wrong size ( too large)....so my question is what is the right scale or dimensions??.....i saw several prefab packs that day as the mandalorians almost outnumbered the troopers, (LOL) byt they all looked so small, and since i am a large guy ( 6'2". 300 ) i figured i'd make my pack larger, soo i am willing to scratchbuild another one, but need to know whats tha accurate dimensions??......anyone got any measurements, blueprints??

The question is do you want an accurately sized jet pack or one that is sized in proportion to you? This applies to other parts of the costume as well. What may be considered to be an accurate set of chest armor may look too big or too small on anyone not falling within the average 5'10" to 6'0", 150 lb. to 185 lb. Fett. I think the important thing to do is have the jet pack correct in scale, not overall size, if you don't fall within those dimensions. By that I mean make sure that the body, thrusters, rocket, etc. are all made to the same scale as the rest of the jet pack. If a standard jet pack is 15" wide (that isn't true by the way, just an example), it may look way too small on a big guy. If you decided then to make one that is 20" wide (or 25% bigger), then you'd need to increase everything on the pack by 25% to make it the correct scale. Make sense?

Oh, as a side note, I believe the unofficial width of the jet pack is between 17" to 17-1/2". The jet pack you saw me wearing is slightly smaller than that, but it seems to work with my build.
