3D Printed Replica of 6051 Mini Light in the Works

Thought I would give a preview of something that I have been working on. Designing up a replica of the 6051 mini light to be 3D printed from visual references & to be made into a working flashlight. Getting close to completing it & plan on offering it for sale if there is any interest? Here are some renders of the model.

But not from toolguy? We would need to wire them up ourselves?

The plan is to make this fully working & am working having a prototype done in a few weeks trying to get everything together for that to prove everything out.

Great project! Can't wait to see the end product!

It is doable, as I already made a fully functional one from cardboard ==> Ever Ready Minilight and Battery Templates.

VERY...I wasn't able to find the correct one after looking for almost 2yrs. The 6050 is close, and the only one I was able to find. I recently picked up the correct one here, missing the switch, but I can use the one from the 6050.... Or maybe get one from tool guy actually

Wow, I must be lucky then. Picked one up almost straight away when I looked. I Just searched for 'ever ready torch'. 'Torch' the word used to describe such items in the U.K. I didn't even think about using terms such as 'minilight' or 'flashlight'. Anyone selling anything like that in this country simply calls them torches.

Re: 3D Printed Replica of 6051 Mini Light in the Works

I got a package in the mail today with the mini light pieces.

There are some visible print lines but can be taken out with a little sanding & a nice coat of clear after being smoothed to give it a shiny finish.

Have to make some modifications for fits, I engineered in some clearances & shouldn't have done that at all. Have to revise the switch which was made of a harder acrylic plastic in order to get the "Ever Ready" to print. The portion that snaps into the body was too brittle & broke which I was concerned about. I have come up with a plan & am doing some redesign that won't detract from the look but work much better without breaking. I am making mods & will be getting another printed but while that is happening I am going to work on getting the internal portion working.

    LED or accurate incandescent light?

Things have stalled on this project as well as others I have been working on.

Broke my ankle & have to have surgery next week for reconstruction. Have to be off my feet. Bums me out I can't work on anything.

Plan to finish this when I am back on my feet.
