Hi guys, thought i would finally post on here after a year or more of lurking around this and other costuming sites!
Like you guys, im a bit of a star wars nut, especially our old friend Boba!

Well, it is now time for me to actually start constructing the costume that i have been promising myself for years! Hitting 40 next year, so i thought it would be a birthday present to me and will keep me occupied over the coming 12 - 18 months or maybe more!!

I live in Essex in England and i guess i will be coming on here now and again to seek advice and see where this leads me! I dont know if i have the time to join the 501st etc ( other hobbies, namely carp fishing, and work keep me busy ).... however i am aiming to get as accurate as i can ESB outfit that will take pride of place on a mannequin and also be wearable for me on the odd ocassion!

Looking forward to the next few months and also getting to know some of you...

Mike

Welcome to TDH and the hobby/obsession

Being in England I would search the Bobamaker and RS Props sites, both are high quality.

Essex. God's country.

I've been using Bobamaker for quite a few bits. Many members may cite that he can be expensive but as you are in the EU (as is he) then this will not necessarily be the case for you. You won't have to pay a lot of extra customs and tax that you would end up doing with U.S items where a lot of other talented makers are. The quality of the items I have already received from him is high.

If you can get done in eighteen months then I salute you. I'll be years.

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome... I say 18 months, but it may be more than that, if it is then that doesnt matter. I want to get everything done properly, so not going to rush it!

You have the right attitude about your build! I can only echo what the others here have already said about where to purchase..you definitely can't go wrong with BM! Welcome and good luck (y)
