The ribbed insert is the handle of a Paterson photographic chemical stirrer that piece goes inside that orange piece on the side of your uzi been doing some research on it
Very true xanthis02.. I now have all the parts for both guns here or on their way- still need to make the upper for the sling gun and my graflex piece for the Uzi isn't he correct on but will do for now. Been looking for something similar to use for the telegraph button but will put it together without it if necessary for the time being
Trying to find something decent to paint the boots with. Based on how this is drying I don't think it is going to work- testing it on a pair of work kakis.
Sanded the whole jet pack with 120 and then 220. Going to fill the rest of the holes and semi deep imperfections tomorrow. Then I am going to primer it to see how many of the sand scratches etc show through. I'm not sure what other packs are like or what others do, but each surface is far from level. I would have to mud the whole thing to make everything perfect. Since it is going to be white I am hoping it isn't too bad.

Also worked on the boots. The Duplicolor Vinyl/Fabric dye won't work on the cloth parts but worked great on the vinyl piping. Going to use Latex house paint and see how that goes. May have to make some kind of insert for the black ankle pieces
Oddly enough I think the MOW boots ( which these are) used to be made in white and he switched to the more accurate gray for this run. Lucky everyone else - not so lucky me lol
Pretty much done with the jetpack. Couple little spots I want to fill and will glue the upper caps on and fill around them.

Pretty much done with the jetpack for now. Couple little spots to fill but will do them when I glue the caps on. May not be perfect but for the audience that will see it I am sure it will be just fine.
I know , I know- just another parts post. Thought this would make a cool lightsaber.

And a big thank you to everyone who has helped me get the last parts this month! I appreciate it very much. My budget is a joke now lol , but at least I will have a bunch of cool parts on my suit!
I really wasn't going to think about trying to get the correct one since I had a small one I was going to just use. Someone here was nice enough to point me in the direction of this one and I figured may as well get it since they don't come up for sale very often.
Was too cool of a piece to let sit. Trimmed the Uzi to see how it will look. That's as far as it will get for now till I figure out how to cast either the telegraph switch or the whole thing.
Needed a break from the jetpack. Still haven't decided which helmet I am going to use so I am going to build both. Used small files after drilling a bunch of holes
Even though I should focus on one piece at a time I was getting frustrated/ bored with certain parts of the build so I wanted to try something new. I think I may go with the DVH helmet in the long run due to weight but here is the AF one I am building as well.
I need to buy some medium sized files to finish the visor cut up.
I am anxious the get the helmets done Mugatu! But they will have to wait to get painted with the rest of the stuff lol.
I needed the grip piece to the Kaiser brace and thankfully someone here was able to get one for me and to me. It is pretty cool when people go above and beyond to help.
Now I just need my armor to get here, build the flamethrower, build the upper piece to the sling gun, figure out what goes over the Kaiser word on the brace, see which switches I need for the gauntlets, wait for my 3D print of the mini light to get here, fans/ electric range finder for the helmet and I should that should do it for parts.
