I've been talking about posting photos of my armour for a while and I finally got round to it.
It's 3mm thick aluminium cut and bent in my garage without any specialist tools. I then spayed it with spray cans very cheaply, the only thing left for me to do is shoot the plates with my air rifle and hack at the edges with an axe to create the dents.
Hope you all like it.

Hi Guys (n Gals)

I've spent some time looking at knee darts recently as I was asked by my friend to design some for his set of knees... so I went off and after a few alterations have come up with these as a final design.
Let me know what ya think? these have a threaded back section to attach to the knee plates!

Excuse the poor pics (I am no photographer!) :( plus, against the great FP knees look great for for scale! plus the cone is one of my replica found part parts.

*The knee plates have not been drilled, so the darts will appear longer than when fitted* ;)

Hi folks!
As a newbie, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this resource and the really great advice you folks give.

I have a few sintra questions for you that I haven't found the answers to in other threads (even though I'm sure they're here somewhere):

• If you're able to find it at Lowe's or Home Depot, what department is it usually in?

• After you've cut it, warmed it and shaped it, is there anything else that needs to be done to it before priming and painting? I've read somewhere that some folks then fiberglas it. Is that necessary?

• Does a regular utility knife really cut through the 3mm thick boards? Anyone use a RotoZip to cut with?

• What silver spray paint works best to replicate Jango's metal armor.

Thanks for your time. I can't wait to start crackin'!

I bought a set of armor from FullMetalFett a while back and just about finished it. The cod and butt still need to be finished (painting) but the chest is about done. Since this is 1/8" aluminum, and came without dents, I couldn't get it exactly like the fiberglass stuff, but it is so cool when someone comes and knocks on your chest armor and you get that 'ding'. You always get a double take from the knocker!

This is my first set of armor, so in all truth, I should have started with something a little easier to work with, but the best part about metal armor is that all I have to do is add some stripper to the stuff and start over, (beleive me it comes in handy when you are learning!)

I don't know if FMF still makes the stuff, but he is an artist with metal. The curves and bends are perfect! Truly a great find! Oh, and in case you are wondering, because it is aluminum, it is lightweight and doesn't cause any problems like you may be thinking metal armor would cause.

Definitive inventory of the gauntlets?

Stupid question, and probably been asked before, but damned if I can find it. What do all the different stations on the gauntlets do? I've seen mention of all...

Stupid question, and probably been asked before, but damned if I can find it. What do all the different stations on the gauntlets do? I've seen mention of all the equipment that supposedly exists on Boba's gauntlets, but I have not been able to locate a picture or blueprint that specifically identifies equipment and location. I've tried looking on various sites, doing searches, but I never seem to get a definitive answer on this...I figure if anyone knows it would be someone on this site.

Left gauntlet
1. The missile/rocket launcher is obvious. Why have I seen a hose hooked to that though?

2. Keypad at the front...I think for interfacing with Slave 1? Or am I completely off?

3. The two barrels on the side confuse me though. I've mostly seen that referenced as a flamethrower, but have also seen it as one being a flamethrower and the other being a blaster or a grenade launcher. The one thing that has me confused about one or both being a flamethrower is: where is the hose? Why no hose for this, but one on the missile?

Right gauntlet
1. Other than the darts, I am not sure what else is here.

2. From pictures, there look to be at least three other items...the gray tube above the darts, with a black "trigger button" and rear hose attachment (to me, this seems like the logical spot for the flamethrower)

3. and two on the side (one recessed inside and one on the tip). Both of those have hose attachments as well.

I know one of those has to be a grappling cable, but not sure which.

I have seen anywhere from 1 to 3 hoses attached to the right gauntlet, what's correct? Personal preference? Because I am not sure what is on each gauntlet, I have trouble deciding about the hoses.

For me, if I were to just assign weapons, based on hoses, buttons, logic...I would say left gauntlet has the missile launcher, with a double barrel blaster on the side. Then the right gauntlet would have the darts, with the flamethrower being the gray tube above the darts. Then the recessed weapon on the side would be the grenade launcher with the grappling cable coming out of the smaller tip of the side enclosure. That's just me though.

Can anyone give me a definitive inventory of the gauntlets, or point me to a picture or blueprint that can? Is there a definitive answer...or has the lack of one been the reason I have never been able to find one? hehe Thanks in advance.
