I think I will try that first. I will sand one of the cast ones from ST version base to see how bad it looks before sanding the metal one.
Paint is finished! This is fully layered so no paint brushes allowed; all air brush and masking fluid. Total layers involved was about 14 i think?
Think sanding the base of the stab itself would be easiest....no one but you will notice.

ugh - I didn't test fit the jetpack trim before paint. Now the upper area isn't flat and the stabilizer piece won't sit flush. It leans to the side. I don't want to sand it down, fill and repaint it....
